DallyPost Tactical Challenges are at the heart of all DallyPost Tactical training opportunities. These Challenges feature the DallyPost Tactical Target, which guarantees that the challenge difficulty will be appropriate for each shooter. These Challenges will lead you up the ladder of proficiency, one rung at a time. This is known as progressive proficiency. The idea is that each successive Challenge will present you with a more aggressive target while demanding a larger set of "life saving" skills. Our purpose is to help you become mentally and physically prepared to meet and master each Challenge as it comes. Each shooter will begin by shooting a basic challenge. As a shooter masters one Challenge, he may advance to a more advanced Challenge. Challenges are currently offered in Single Operator Pistol, Single Operator Carbine, Single Operator Two Gun, Double Operator Pistol, Double Operator Carbine, and Double Operator Two Gun. Challenge Rules offer the best description of the requirements of each challenge.

- Evaluation Method: This method of training assumes that the Shooter has a strong foundation of fundamental firearms skills. As the Shooter attempts a challenge, the Instructor will mark the official DallyPost Scorecard as specified in the Official DallyPost Rule Book. At the conclusion of each challenge, the instructor will make suggestions regarding technique and discuss all penalties awarded. Available for one to ten shooters.
- Interactive Method: This method of training assumes that the Shooter has a basic foundation of fundamental firearms skills. As the Shooter attempts a challenge, the Instructor will mark the official DallyPost Scorecard as specified in the Official DallyPost Rule Book. As penalties are marked, the Instructor will stop the challenge and offer appropriate instruction. Upon completion of instruction, the Instructor will resume the challenge. At the conclusion of each challenge, the Instructor will offer additional instruction as required. Available for one to ten shooters.
Each entry fee will provide a shooter an opportunity to shoot four challenges. First time shooters who are unable to master level one in four attempts will be given two additional challenges at no cost. All challenges will be completed in accordance with the Official DallyPost Challenge Rule Book.
Shooters may participate in regularly scheduled events or contact a trainer for private training sessions.
