Each member will enjoy a website that will include the following features:
- A unique URL. If you already have a URL, you can keep it. We can also provide a unique URL for free which will be formatted as www.dallypost.com/whatever.
- A custom look and feel that will be specifically designed to meet the requirements of the member. All sites will be based on a common web site template. You can use one of our free web site templates or, if you prefer, we will build a custom template that will be yours and yours alone. Consider the following custom web sites:
Monte Bullock
Unique Wood Products - A user interface that will allow each member to add, edit and delete pages to the web site without the requirement of specialized computer skills. However, we are here to serve and we will maintain your site upon request. If you choose to have us do this work, the existence of the interface means that we can work faster and that means lower fees for you.
- An automatic menu system which will automatically create sections, sub-sections and page links as new content pages are added and/or removed.
- A shared content feature that allows any Alliance member to place a page on his web site and mark it as sharable. Any other Alliance member may import the page into his or her site. Consider the following example. An Alliance member writes a great do-it-yourself article that will be of interest to many home owners. This article is then published on the member's web site and flagged as sharable. Another Alliance member sees the article and imports it into his web site. Both members benefit.
The originating member benefits because when the content is imported into the second member's web site, it will include a link back to the originating member's site.
The importing member benefits because he is able, through the shared content program, to produce an attractive web site and good content with minimal effort.
